What Can I Expect On My First Visit?

Your therapist will take a thorough history and give you a physical exam measuring your range of motion, strength, posture, mobility, balance and coordination. They will assess your specific pain/injury and provide focused treatment and exercises to help you get back to being yourself. Your therapist will answer your questions and put together an exercise plan to take home with you.

Does Health Insurance Cover Physical Therapy?
Yes. Our office will be happy to assist in verifying your insurance coverage.
Will it hurt?
Your therapist will listen to your concerns regarding pain and make every attempt to keep discomfort to a minimum. Communication is always important.
What Should I Bring On My First Visit?
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to check-in.
  • Comfortable athletic clothing and shoes.
  • Bring a Photo ID (valid driver’s license, valid state ID, school ID card, or valid passport)
  • Bring necessary medical records, physicians prescription, list of medications, any (MRI’s, X-rays), etc.
How Long Does Treatment Last?
Typically, your sessions last about one hour. The time will be based on your specific needs and injury. Your therapy and treatment plan is tailored specific for you.
How Many Physical Therapy Treatments Will I Need?
Each patient is different, Epic Spine and Sports Therapy and your physician can develop a plan of care that is right for you.
